Why we exist
Born From a Hundred Road Trips
Gita Yatri Express began the way most good journeys do — with a borrowed SUV, a hand-drawn route map and a conviction that the misty hills east of Siliguri were India's greatest travel secret. What started as founder Avilash Roy personally driving friends and family through Meghalaya and Assam grew, trip by trip, into a full tour and fleet operation headquartered in Kolkata.
Today we run handcrafted tours and a specialized rental fleet — Sedans, SUVs and Tempo Travellers from 12 to 26 seats — across all eight states: Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura and Sikkim. The scale changed; the approach didn't. Every guest still gets a personally reviewed itinerary, a verified driver, and a phone that's answered at 6 a.m. when the flight lands early.
We keep our group sizes human, our pricing itemised and our promises modest — then we work very hard to beat them.
